Gwynedd Mercy College School of Nursing

Each year Gwynedd-Mercy College sends a large team of students and a number of professors to The Dominican Republic for a large scale medical relief effort. They go out daily to the Sugar Cane Fields or Bateyes and set up Health Clinics. At these clinics, they see about 100 people (adults and children) and set up medical stations with everything ranging from Blood pressure screening/weight/height, eye glass station, deworming, water Purification, dental care, pharmacy and health education. Each year they are able to accomplish more than years previous and they find new and better ways to help.
